During this tour we will observe the Vilcanota Mountain Range and its impressive snow- capped mountains that extend throughout the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit the following places: Maras Town where the houses still preserve their colonial facades , the Moray Archaeological Complex made up of several circular platforms that served as an agricultural laboratory in Inca times and finally we will appreciate the Maras Salt Mines; conformed by hundreds of small wells of salty water and from where at present the members of the community still produce Salt.

We will start the trip at approximately 8:30 am picking you up from your hotel in Cusco. By tourist bus we will go to the Urubamba Valley, during the journey we will be able to observe the magnificent Nevado de Chicón.

We will begin this full day tour by visiting the town of Maras, which is know for their preservation of colonial facades. After taking a look of the town we will go to visit our main attraction: The salt mines, whit approximately 3000 small wells and located 3300 meters above sea level this result on an unmissable place to visit before die, this salt mines are still working nowaday so we can have an idea of how they use to work on the Incas age by watching the local people producing their onw salt. Then we will have a break to have a meal and prepare our feets to walk and visit the enormous Moray agricultural terraces. There are many theories of how does this place exist some people think that they have always exist and some others think that and asteroid fall their long time ago and created those unbelievable holes on the earth.
